A Child’s Life out West 90-minutes
This 90-minute program is a completely hands-on experience dealing with life out West during the 1840s – 1880s. Students visit ten interactive stations set up in the school gymnasium. They participate in activities that allow them to personally experience some aspect of pioneer life: washing clothes the old fashioned way/writing a journal entry with a feather or ink pen/ playing musical instruments and singing patriotic songs/quilting/trying on pioneer clothing, etc.Small group assembly only:
